A little context would go a really long way here.

And that's not even the Grand Sport, Z06 or ZR1 models... According to Car and Driver, it's not as much the engine's power as the car's sheer grip that makes it stand out this time around. Super-heroic grip is the term they used.

I don't where this is ... but I thought Laguna was a 1:30-ish track.

I'm waiting for a C4 ZR-1 ($60,000 in '90) shootout. Who says we're not making progress?

Judging by those times and how they remind me of Car and Driver 's Lightning Lap, I should note that this is Virginia International Raceway (VIR), not Laguna Seca.

Sweet jesus! I knew the stingray was a good car, but to beat the 430 scuderia, the Murcielago, GT-R, The LFA, a GT3 RS, Tubro S, The SLS, the V10 R8, and the KTM X-Bow! That's not good! THAT'S HEROIC!

Isn't it pretty well known that GM throws every dollar they can at these track times though? Just like Nissan and their GTR Nurb times?

Honestly, I could care less because I can't afford either, but they keep using these track times as a selling point, when in reality its a professional driver and the best time out of who knows how many tries. Nothing a normal person could do. And most other manufacturers don't fret over the times as much as GM seems to.

Well, it does help that the car weighs 0 kg. Infinite power-to-weight ratio for the win!

Judging by the ZR1 in the top spot, it's VIR.
